I have worked on three contracts with NESS Technology Ltd and two have involved me developing an internal web application working with frameworks where I had little to no previous experience:* On the first I was working with JSF, having never used it previously, and within a couple of months I was one of 3 key people within the Technical Architecture team.* On the second I was using AngularJS with no previous commercial experience and within 1 month I had reduced the client code base by 34% by extracting common functionality and I later reduced it by a further 6% whilst improving performance by 60%.On the third contract I am using technologies which I am highly experienced with (Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate). It is a largely data-centric project and one part of the solution required a lot of manual mapping which I replaced with a custom mapping framework. The first mapper refactored resulted in a reduction of more than 1000 lines of application code and enabled the next 3 related user stories to be delivered in less than 20 minutes.Recently I have been upskilling in Angular to build on my previous AngularJS experience. In my spare time I have built a developer toolkit application and I now use that extensively on my current contract to monitor real-time database activity (Oracle Database Change Notification) and application activity (via websockets).

I worked for a number of clients with Scott Logic, all in the Finance sector, but covering a range of roles. My responsibilities included requirements gathering, analysis & design and testing and have always been targeted towards producing excellent software that we are proud to hand over to the client.

My roles always involved working directly with the client and I developed excellent communication skills which hand in hand with my strong development skills enabled me to work closely with the client and deliver a solution that met their needs.
