• A Dexterous Robotic Hand Design Project
• The project focuses on designing a teleoperated robotic hand system with haptic feedback that will be placed in radioactive environments so that operators can handle substances remotely.
• Designed encoder(via SPI), microcontroller(ARM Cortex-M7), and motor driver(gate driver with integrated FETs) PCBs for a teleoperated robotic hand system.
• Scripted C++ libraries for brushless direct current motor (BLDC) field-oriented control (FOC) control using space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM), inter-board communication (SPI, CAN), and PID torque/current.
• Soldered SMD devices for prototype boards, made wiring harnesses for inter-board connections, and tested signal integrity using oscilloscopes and multimeters, achieving expected behaviors.
