Co-Design Team Member | The Annie E. Casey FoundationAnnie E. Casey Foundation May 2024 - PresentBaltimore, Md, UsAs a Co-Design Team Member with The Annie E. Casey Foundation, I contribute to a groundbreaking initiative aimed at eliminating the need for group placements in Allegheny County's child welfare system. This collaborative effort centers the voices of young people, families, and community stakeholders to co-create community-driven solutions that address the root causes of disproportionate group placements, especially for Black, Brown, Indigenous, and LGBTQ+ youth. Together, we develop strategies that prioritize equity, inclusion, and shared decision-making between communities and the Office of Children, Youth, and Families (CYF).In this role, I work closely with a diverse team to facilitate discussions, analyze data, and engage with community leaders to propose solutions that will be tested throughout 2024. My responsibilities include supporting young people and families as equal partners in the design process, organizing and co-facilitating team meetings, and fostering open communication between stakeholders. -
