Hello! My name is Ivy. I am 21 years old, and live in Summerville, South Carolina. My boyfriend and I have two Golden Retrievers, Oliver (1 yr) and Oakley (12 weeks) and a DSH cat Sunshine (2 years old). Ever since I was younger I had a strong passion for animals. My first job was while I was in my senior year of High School doing Kennel Tech work. I then got another job as a kennel tech for a boarding and daycare place. I knew I wanted to take a bigger step for taking care of animals and decided to apply for a Veterinary Technician role for a clinic in Charleston. They taught me everything considering I didn't have much experience. My love for dogs just kept growing and growing. I decided I wanted to take an even bigger step for taking care of animals and got my foot in the door for shadowing at the Emergency hospital in Summerville, I eventually was offered a job there as a Level 2 assistant. Unfortunately, my passion was not there in Emergency medicine, which was really hard for me, but I learned working for GPs was where I was happy. During the time of trying to find another clinic to work for, my boyfriend and I decided to start our own business for doggie daycare and boarding. It has been a learning curve for sure, but love seeing our business grow and taking care of dogs is the best! I do not see myself wanting to change career paths, and would love to continue taking care of dogs for as long as I can :)
