Developed legal and policy strategies for chloride regulation in the state of Wisconsin by working alongside members of the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission to write Technical Report No. 67 for the state. I specifically researched direct regulatory strategies such as liability waivers and Department of Transportation Management Plans, informational strategies such as education and federal funding, and alternatives to chloride such as green infrastructure and permeable pavement.

Diversified research skills in areas of Wisconsin open government laws, Wisconsin administrative code, and the federal International Traffic in Arms Regulations relating to Wisconsin open government laws.

I served as a legal intern for the MKE Eviction Free project when it first launched in September 2021. I worked on completing client intakes for eviction termination notices as well as 2nd and 3rd causes. I also broadened my research skills in areas of Wisconsin housing, civil procedure, and privacy law. Lastly, I also had the opportunity to observe court with multiple attorneys at Legal Aid for various stages of eviction litigation.

Preformed client intakes, conflict checks, and ongoing communication to clients. I also assisted in successful mediation preparation and drafted divorce pleadings. I was also responsible for collecting clients' financial and asset information.

After working at MLG for a year I was promoted to the Lead Legal Assistant. In my new role I supervised three assistants, delegated and coordinated daily tasks, and trained six new assistants and law clerks in the two and a half years I worked for MLG. In this position I was able to create and implement a legal assistant manual after transition to case management software and digitized 100+ case files. I also maintained tasks that I did as a legal assistant such as drafting pleadings, affidavits, and client correspondence, e-filing, and providing status updates to clients, attorneys, and opposing counsels.

My main responsibilities included preparing and filing all pleadings, handling client correspondence and client intakes, as well as managing all attorneys' scheduling calendars. I also provided status reports to clients and streamlined communication between attorneys, clients, and opposing counsels.
