Ivy Jack is a co-founder and senior advisor to the Diverse Investing Collective, which is incubated at Tara Health Foundation. The Diverse Investing Collective was founded with an audacious goal of getting a minimum 33% of all US assets managed by women and people of color by 2033. She was the Co-CIO for NorthStar Asset Management, Inc., a Boston-based wealth management firm that specializes in socially responsible investing through shareholder engagement, impact investing, and selecting publicly traded securities via negative and positive screens.Earlier in her career, Ivy worked on Wall Street where she was a vice president in the equity research department at Barclays Capital (formerly Lehman Brothers) and covered the food and drug retail industry. She was awarded honorable mention in the Institutional Investor Survey, and worked on a team that was consistently ranked #1 for its research coverage. In an effort to learn more about the operational aspects of running a retail corporation, she worked at TJX Companies, the parent company of TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods, managing a team in the corporate finance department. She began her career as an investment banking analyst working at Morgan Stanley.Ivy is a board member and Treasurer of YW Boston, a local organization that is a thought leader on issues at the intersection of race and gender. She also sits on the Investment Committee for Boston Impact Initiative. She previously served on the Board of Governors for the Harvard Business School Association of Boston and the Harvard Business School African American Association.She enjoys reading and has traveled extensively, having lived and studied on three different continents. She is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is currently engaged in learning more about her family’s ancestry.
