The role also manages the relationship between the company and key academic researchers to ensure outcomes of value to all parties are achieved.

The VCSCM was a $24.9M investment by the Victorian government together with Monash University, PACIA, CSIRO and the EPA. It complements the $73M Green Chemical Futures which houses 150 researches developing new sustainable methods.
