Most of my life has been one long, extended adventure, well, my kind of adventure. As in all adventures, life has a way of happening along the way. I'm not a soldier of fortune but I did spend two years in SE Asia as an officer in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. I always wanted to work for myself and throughout my years I developed seven significant businesses mostly in the Advertising and then in the high tech field. My ability as a writer was crucial in every one of them. It’s in life’s challenges where most opportunities are found. I started my first business at 14, making architectural scale models for architects in the Miami area. I followed that by starting an Advertising Agency after leaving the Army. That tied into my experience as a Professional Photographer leading me to some extraordinary assignments. As the cellular telephone was being born, I created and published the only magazine worldwide, making it the journal for the cellular industry. I hired Mr. Spock from Star Trek fame to become the industry spokesman for all the related telecom service companies. As a creative writer, I have a lifetime of business experience that prepared me for a wide range of business services including hiring out as a writer. Writing Historical Fiction novels has become my biggest challenge and God willing, I'll continue writing fiction and nonfiction books for my duration. Most recently my latest Historical Fiction novel, "The Mystery of the Goatskin Treasure Map" is now available at https://GreatReads.store/product-tag/roy-emmett/
