About Irene Y Chan
I embarked upon a career of medical scientist in Clinpath hospital laboratories for five years after completing tertiary study. However, it was my passion and interest in transfusion medicine as I found it is very challenging and important part of laboratory science.Throughout the years in Clinpath, I gained valuable experience in handling all emergency and routine blood tests including blood group and antibody screen, crossmatch, full blood count, coagulation profile and biochemistry. As part of the multidisciplinary approach of clinical investigation, I have a full understanding of operating, maintaining and trouble-shooting pathology analysers such as Coulter-Beckman HMX, Roche Integra 800, Roche E411, Bio-Rad IH-1000 and Sysmex CA500. I have the complete range of skills and experience to be able to achieve the requirements of any pathology scientist job.
