About Abi Iyer

I grew up in the colourful streets of India on a healthy diet of comic books and curries. Street smarts and common sense were two essential traits I developed quite early in my life. My natural curiosity to understand people, their behaviour and motivations led me to the path of entrepreneurship. At 15, I started my first business, and by the time I was 30 — I had already built four businesses and two start-ups all the while working full-time as a designer. It didn't take me long to realise that my real passion lies in the the 'human side' of business, and as Steve Jobs once put it — you can only connect the dots looking backwards.Today, I work in design, at the intersection of art and engineering. I spend most of my time understanding human problems, staging experiences, defining processes and omni-channel journeys that focus on people and are culturally relevant. I am proud that I've had the opportunity to work with some of the best people around the world that has led me to create real value and impact. My core competencies include:■ User Experience Design Strategy■ Building Design Capability and Teams■ Leading Discovery Workshops■ Customer Journey Mapping■ Hands-on Interaction Design■ User Experience Research Methods■ Startup Ideation and Seed Funding■ Investor Pitch and Presentation■ Executive Stakeholder Management
