Additionally, ISS provides landside commercial and humanitarian logistics, transit, offshore support and other associated marine services.(July 2012 to Present) Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Middle East, India and Africa Operations, I am responsible for the overall direction and control of the diversified business of ISS in the Middle East and India (Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, KSA, Oman, Qatar, India, Dubai & Northern Emirates and Abu Dhabi), which includes Marine Services: Port Agency ★ Off-shore Services ★ Surveyors & Loss Adjustors ★ Liner ServicesI oversee delivery of services to end customers and Inchcape organizational entities according to scope, service level, operating procedures and cost as defined in internal service level agreements. I also manage operational governance within the region. I was actively involved in the geographical expansion of Offshore operations covering Indian Ocean and East Africa. My main focus was to increase the strategic global geographic footprint of offshore supply services and the development of marine assets and marine logistics as part of the New Growth Platform structure.I improved the productivity of marine assets by suitable hedging between the charter and spot markets. This included the introduction of fleet services globally, the evaluation of prospects and business opportunities in Greenfield projects and the expansion of the scope of services offered to the offshore oil and gas, construction and port terminals industries. The role essentially involved a balance between strategic and tactical considerations. While the primary focus was strategic based on a thorough understanding of the company’s strategic objectives and determining the needs relevant to it, there was also a requirement for a wider tactical and operational focus. Identifying new business clients, negotiating competitive terms both with the port and the client and securing agreements with potential clients.
