This was an intentional step into a long-admired brand that sharpened my understanding of retail, circular apparel strategy, and sales. At EF, I gained empathy for both customers and retail operations as well as a thorough understanding of the brand’s wardrobing system and strategy, learning how simple shapes and colors form the foundation of capsule collections. Moreover, I had the opportunity to plan, style, and present two seasonal events, and collaborate with the RENEW team to inspire and educate customers on the brand’s circular approach. This experience cemented my passion for sustainability and styling while equipping me with practical knowledge of how to execute a large vision while upholding simplicity and stewardship, all preparing me for future roles in product line management and apparel design. I joined Northwest Folklife to lead special programs for the 2024 NWFL Festival, focusing on ‘Threads of the People,’ a celebration of contemporary fashion artists and cultural dress in the PNW. This included building websites using Squarespace and UX best practices, creating digital assets for farmers to use across their social medias, and presenting this work to farmers. My work gave farmers clear, connected branding on every platform which, with SEO, increased traffic to their websites and drove sales.
