I am a physics major at the University of North Texas, concentrating in astrophysics with a minor in mathematics. I have been recognized on the president's list and dean's list multiple times throughout my undergraduate career. My long-term objective is to pursue a Ph.D. in an astrophysical topic. I hope to continue my education in my career by undertaking challenging research.Currently, I hold a position as lead lab assistant in the astronomy program at the University of North Texas. I'm finishing my undergraduate physics degree plan currently, having had a particular interest in the courses of quantum mechanics, general relativity, and galaxies & cosmology. My professional interests are focused on black holes, dark matter/energy, and the connections between the quantum and macro world. I am actively seeking opportunities that align with my career goals and provide avenues for further research and exploration in these areas.My senior thesis research is in Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (DLTS). Partnered with another undergraduate student, we learned how to operate a Sula DLTS machine and perform deep-level transient spectroscopy measurements on semiconductors with deep-level defects. While this research differs from my primary interest, I found the experience highly valuable as it provided hands-on training with experimental equipment and procedures. Exploring another physics topic has allowed me to stay informed about research across a variety of physics disciplines, rather than solely focusing on my primary area of interest.I value opportunities for professional growth and collaboration, and I am eager to connect with industry experts and peers who share my passion for astrophysics.
