MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSEGeneral Summary: Manages sales of BRE’s products and services within the continent of Africa. Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings, to ensure that favourable margins and profitability goals for BRE are achieved. Ensure that user friendly sales, pipeline, forecasting and other such financial tools and models are in place and managed for the effective control of sales staff and the achievement of BRE sales targets.

To grow the Enterprise Software Business in South Africa in line with the BlackBerry Strategic Objectives. Focus was on Mobile Device Management Security.

• Joined BlackBerry on 2 June 2008 because I believed in the product as a preferred communication tool for business and consumer.• Joined as the Commercial lead on the Vodacom Account including the Vodacom/Vodafone sub-Sahara operating companies.• Was promoted to Director level during my tenure with BlackBerry.• Whilst Commercial Lead over the period June 2008 to October 2013 was responsible for all commercial negotiations with Vodacom both for sales, technical and legal agreements.• Consistently achieved and exceeded KPA requirements.

• Joined Vodacom as part of a merger which included Teljoy Cellular Services in the position of Sales Manager National Accounts focussing on customer retention of Vodacom’s largest customers.• Was promoted to Executive Head Strategic Accounts with both acquisition and retention responsibility for a portfolio spanning Government, Large Enterprise and Vodafone Global Accounts in SA.• Consistently achieved and exceeded KPA requirements.
