Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I currently serve as the Editorial and Marketing Partnerships Manager at Believe for Malaysia, Singapore and Korea.I've been working in the music industry for 4 years now and I thoroughly enjoy the discovery of independent artists across the SEA region, music marketing and its role and growth in the digital space. My experiences working at a major label as well as a music distributor for independent artists have equipped me with the knowledge and understanding of several aspects of the music industry such as release strategies, music distribution, digital streaming platforms, social media marketing, artist & project management, to name a few.At Believe, I bridge the gap between independent artists and digital streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and more) in Singapore and Malaysia by pitching artists music for various editorial campaigns and on-platform visibility. I also assist with regional-level campaigns in the Southeast Asia region, as well as work on supporting Believe's priority international releases in Korea.Previously, I was the Spinnup Representative at Universal Music where I managed the brand as a music distribution service and artist discovery tool in Malaysia, as well as recruit independent artists to join the platform. I was also a part of the label's A&R and Artist Management teams, assisting with distribution and coordinating the label's releases as well as artist management services for its artist roster such as Yonnyboii, DOLLA, YANA, Insomniacks and more.
