As a Makerspace Assistant at the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre (MCIC), I operated and maintained the Maker Space co-working lab space, ensuring that all users adhered to UNSW's Safe Work Procedure. I conducted safety inductions and taught basic shop tools, providing training and assistance to students, staff, and start-ups on using laser cutters, 3D printers, and CNC milling for rapid prototyping. In addition to this, I assisted in facilitating the Design Thinking and Design Sprint workshops as part of the Ideation program at UNSW Founders (formerly MCIC Catalyst in Residence).

As the Mechanical Engineering Lead at Sunswift UNSW Solar Racing Team, I designed and verified the interior structural components of the Solar Electric Vehicle using carbon fiber and other composite materials to maintain a competitive weight for the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. I also led a team of seven engineering students to produce a practical-looking vehicle with functional components such as a dash display, racing seats, headlights, doors, and mechanisms for dynamic parts. In addition to overseeing the production of the vehicle, I provided guidance and upskilling opportunities for my team members and managed the annual budget for the exterior and interior components of the Solar Electric Vehicle. I designed components using Solidworks and CATIA and verified their strength using ANSYS Finite Element Analysis. I manufactured components using composite materials such as carbon fiber, foam core, and honeycomb.
