Responsible for the planning & execution of conference events and customized meetings for clients across APAC. The operations manager role involved managing the budget, venue sourcing, supplier management, flight & accommodation arrangements for international speakers and delegates, on-site delivery and post-event evaluation. Worked very closely with the Managing Director in planning the operational aspects of each event which includes negotiating with venues & suppliers, producing conference floorplans, managing audio-visual setups, handling marketing collateral production, procuring flights & accommodation for speakers and delegates and annual stock taking. Travels regularly to run the events.Strong relationships forged with internationally recognised event venues across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand; such as the Hilton, Shangri-La, Pan Pacific Hotels, Marina Bay Sands and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Adopts a meticulous and systematic working style to ensure that the events run smoothly on-site.Also managed & maintained client relationships to ensure that all contractual deliverables are executed efficiently. Clients span across APAC and include big players in the IT & Finance sectors like Visa, HP, Huawei, Microsoft, IBM, Cisco Systems and Lockheed Martin. Many positive relationships forged with clients and the majority have expressed satisfaction with the way they have been serviced. This helps the sales team to secure quick rebooks, some signing up a year in advance.
