I recorded and uploaded data from the CourtWatch program, aimed at holding prosecutors and judges accountable, as well as researching restorative justice practices that were published as a manual for FCC staff members.

I researched how story telling affects the way that people learn how to run businesses. I culminated the internship by writing a handbook and hosting webinar that was used to teach staff about ways to use story telling as a powerful tool for communication. This virtual event hosted office leaders from more than four countries around the world.

I wrote blogs for the Media Girls website, as well as managing the social media accounts on a weekly basis. At the end of my internship, I led a workshop for middle school girls which taught them how to look at media critically and form a positive body image.

Nepal

I travelled with a group of 15 high school students around Nepal for five weeks. We stayed in a Buddhist Monastery, a Hindu Ashram, and with two homestay families. I completed an independent study project on Ayurvedic medicine while at the Buddhist monastery, aided by the mentorship of an expert who lived there.
