Pursuing what I love is the key to excellence.I am an experienced engineer and operations manager with a passion for achieving challenging goals in motorsport.My journey in motorsport began at age 14 as a Track Marshal at the Jarama circuit in Madrid. This passion led me to embrace motocross during my youth and later to pursue my university studies in Colorado, USA, driven by the allure of motor racing. This path eventually brought me to Formula 1, where I have grown both as an engineer and a manager.Starting as an Electronics and Control Engineer, I transitioned into Race Strategy within the team. Over the years, I have led teams of engineers in developing and delivering software tools, as well as managing operational engineers. My career has progressed to a Sporting Director role, where I lead larger teams and represent organizational interests with stakeholders.Initially, I believed on-track results were the ultimate goal. However, nearly 20 years of experience have taught me to value the relationships formed to achieve these results. Trusting the process of long-term goals in a short-term-driven industry was not immediate, but I learned this alongside my peers. I believe in managing by listening, setting realistic goals, and ensuring the team has the leadership and resources to excel.What I enjoy most is working with brilliant, motivated people who embrace challenges.

Worked with my colleagues to provide the team with full weekend strategic approach. As well as provided season approach to different performance metrics to guide the car development. The software team I lead provided a custom suite of tools for operations at the track including timing and GPS ingestion, Strategy simulation simulation and guidance, Video feed live presentation and replay and intercom integration and augmentation.

Race Strategist
I attend all race events and take care of all the strategy needs of Lotus F1 team. I work closely with the Chief Race Engineer and Race Engineering team to plan the optimum strategy for Qualifying sessions and Races for both cars. During the sessions I work in conjunction with another strategist at the factory and the engineers on the pit wall execute the race strategy live. At the factory I oversee the development of all the software tools used for strategy to this effect I manage a small team of strategists and strategy developers.
