J. formed Allen & Company, LLC and its affiliates (Allen) in August of 2000 for the purpose of developing real estate and providing real estate advisory services to corporate clients and owners of real property. Assignments have included site acquisitions, dispositions, feasibility analyses, and land development. As an example, Allen was retained to liquidate approximately 4000-acres of land located in Thurston and Jefferson County Washington. Allen was given the complete authority ascertain whether or not to seek entitlements, implement any entitlement strategies, implement marketing plans and pricing strategy, negotiate price and terms, execute purchase and sale agreements, and manage the closing process through a Limited Power of Attorney. Allen's success included, among others, the permitting of 20.6-million cubic yard sand and gravel quarry, a clean fill depository for 2.5-million cubic yards of material, and a 100,000-ton per year concrete and asphalt recycling center. These permits received the unusual support of the environmental community as well as the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. The initial appraised value of all the properties was $2.88 million. Allen & Company, through its value enhancement efforts, ultimately disposed of the properties for a total of $29.404 million. Allen has also acquired and developed over 1000 acres of high end residential projects in eastern King County, WA. Allen recently negotiated a complicated three party settlement agreement (one of the parties was in Receivership) which included an urban office park, mobile home park, undeveloped land and two businesses. Allen has extensive experience in land acquisition, entitlements and permitting, and construction management for midrise office, tilt-up warehouse, Class A office tenant improvements, as well as acquisitions, dispositions, and the development of large mixed use master plans.

In a unique partnership, with the law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP, J. oversaw all real property transactions and acted in a consulting capacity to many of CenturyPacific's clients. This role included feasibility analyses, site selection, acquisition and disposition of properties, tenant representation, deal structure and construction management. Over the last 15 years J. has planned and constructed over 750,000-square feet of office buildings and warehouses, as well as many miles of roads, bridges and other infrastructure.In addition J. was directly responsible for the overseeing of CenturyPacific's three land development projects which include a 1,000-acre master-planned residential community and two business parks. As the development manager, J. assembled and managed an array of professional consultants that developed master plans, sought entitlements, designed and built infrastructures, and ultimately marketed and sold properties to end users. This effort always followed the development of a well-conceived business plan.
