Perform controls engineering design and technical analysis activities, working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), Human Machine Interface (HMI's) and other field controls interfaces. Works primarily with the Control Logix Platform and GE/Fanuc iFIX to deliver modern, remotely driven automated solutions. Utilize various communication protocols/drivers consisting of Serial, MODBUS, MODBUS TCP/IP, Ethernet TCP/IP, OPC and IGS. Establish and test SCADA RTU communications via proprietary protocol with ProSoft ADM and Miille Omnii-Comm. Establish and maintain SQL Server DB and TiPs LogMate connection to DCS to ensure Alarm Management System in compliant with CRM rules. Establish and maintain DCS connection to Leak Detection Systems in Field Control Center.

Pipeline Controller in the Colonial Pipeline Control Center. Monitored and controled the flow of product across the system and ensureed that related tasks and activities are completed safely while maintaining system integrity. Applied operations philosophies and tools in the execution of daily activities so that a standard method of operating is applied and processes are used consistently. Maintains full awareness and focus on every aspect of the work environment including the dynamics of the product flowing through the pipeline, actions required of those they work with in the field and any other factors that have the potential to affect the safe delivery of product.

Al Asad, Iraq

Mobilized in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as part of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 24, a Navy Reserve Seabee unit. Responsible for the implementation and functional management of the Command 3-M System(Maintenance Material Management) and responsible to the Executive Officer for the coordination and direct supervision of all administrative facets of the Commands 3-M System program. Direct supervision of 3 Departments with 5 separate Work Centers consisting of 440 maintenance personnel and $70.1 million of equipment.

Anbar Province, Iraq

Mobilized in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as part of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 24, a Navy Reserve Seabee unit. Project Manager of the electrical work required to complete 125 Marine berthing huts, as well as the complete re-wiring of the KV Marine base electrical grid in western Iraq. Created, implemented and managed a Preventive Maintenance program for the Camp Generators to ensure reliability and continuity of power. Coordinated and directed multiple trips to two Forward Operating Bases to perform camp maintenance and repair electrical fire damage and rewire of electrical systems.

Buford, Ga

Fabrication Engineer/Electrician at Advanced X-Ray, Inc., a custom industrial X-ray manufacturing company. Performed the project management, overall design, parts specification/procurement and electrical fabrication of digital radiographic inspection systems for use in non-destructive testing and flaw detection of castings, welds, medical implants and other materials. Integration and actual wiring of ABB Robotics systems, multi-axis manipulators, conveyors, X-ray controllers, control systems, power distribution, and all associated industrial safety features. Performed installation of completed system, including integration of system with existing plant hardware and electrical distribution, followed by training and close customer support.

US Navy Nuclear Electrician’s Mate First Class (EM1) aboard USS West Virginia (SSBN 736), a nuclear powered ballistic missile submarine. Supervised the operations, maintenance, and administration of the nuclear propulsion plant and associated equipment. Operated, troubleshot (down to the component level), repaired, and performed maintenance on the power and distribution systems, lighting systems, motors and controllers, circuit breakers, indication and alarm systems and other electronic and electrical equipment. As Machinery Vibration Analysis Officer, I collected and analyzed thousands of trending sound vibration waveforms utilizing MasterTrend and CSI 2100 Series Analyzer System to predict and detect early signs of motor bearing failures.
