About Jordyn Casey
I started in the field of business when I was eight. I used to set up a table in front of my house and sell otter pops for 25 cents a piece. As I have grown, I have found a love for the business field! I recently graduated from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University with a Bachelors in Marketing. I was involved in the Huntsman Scholar Program, Business Ambassadors, and the Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Club at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. By working in the organizations and workplaces that I have, I have developed skills in organization, responsibility, and worth ethic.Organization: Being highly involved, I have had to learn how to keep my life organized. There would often be several activities or competitions happening on the same week, or even same day. In the past, I remember having assembly practice in the morning, classes during the day, work after school, and applications and homework at night. During this time, I was forced to learn how to keep myself organized so I could complete all of my commitmentsResponsibility: I have always considered myself a responsible person. I understand the connection between commitment, responsibility, and follow through. But through being involved, I learned it is my responsibility to own my faults and recognize when I am not the most qualified person in the room. I have also learned to hold myself accountable when I know I am skilled and hold the power to do well.Work Ethic: I work hard to make sure the job gets done. I have, and will, work from sunrise to sunset, if needed, to complete the task. I know that when I commit to a task, it is my responsibility to get that task done quickly and to the best of my abilities.Honesty: I have always valued people who were honest with me; therefore, I work hard to be honest myself. Honesty in the workplace is more important than ever. I’ve had to learn the importance of being honest with myself and accepting personal limitations and time constraints. When presented with a challenge, I am now more aware of personal limits and able to ask for help if needed.Communication: Being involved in so many different organizations in clubs, I have had to be adaptable in different forms of communication, and learn how to better my skills in these different forms. I have used, Remind, GroupMe, Emails, Text, Slack, Canvas, Zoom, and so much more. I have learned how to jump from different forms of communication to efficiently express my thoughts and ideas.

Float On started out as a small, snow cone shop and has grown to a food truck, locations in Rio Tinto stadium and the Vivint Arena, and a new location in Bear Lake. They focus on providing customers with "A Delicious Way to Escape". I was an intern with Float On focusing on new designs for merchandise, developing their social media, and consulting owners with miscellaneous questions about marketing and other business related topics. Since they were opening their new Bear Lake location during my internship, my initial role was to help develop new designs for their merchandise, which included shirts, hoodies, stickers, and more. I consulted with interior design questions and decisions. I primarily used Canva for my designs, while occasionally using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I worked remotely through emails, phone calls, text and other forms on online communication to complete these jobs. My other primary responsibility was developing their social media with the intent to increase both following and engagement across the different platforms. Our main focus was with Instagram. I helped develop new stories, posts, giveaways, and polls for Float On's Instagram. I worked with their current social media manager and we were able to increase engagement in just a few short months.
