Agile Coach Consultant

 Have lead the Project Management group focusing on the Implementations of our software application while focusing my efforts on the adaption of Agile methodology within our technical teams. This includes developing the process, educating and training the teams, serving as Scrum Master and Agile Coach and leading the teams through the ceremonies of Scrum (daily stand ups, planning sessions, retrospectives). Work daily with the teams on growth and develop utilizing Kanban, as well as with the leadership (in lieu of a Product Owner) setting priority for the work for the team. Lead the development, deployment, and training for a customized system utilizing Visual Studio and TFS that allows to manage all aspects of our business. It also allows tickets to be moved from project to project, or individual to individual; a priority system that allows management to set priority for individuals down to the task level, as well as displays their backlog so others can view and understand their backlog, and no one has to interrupt and ask for updates. Worked with Senior Management to develop and implement processes, procedures and structures within our organization enabling us to be more agile and have the ability to grow, change and develop as our business and organization grow and develop.

 Performed both Program/Project Management roles at Greenway, as well as Agile Coach and Scrum Master. Originally hired to manage the multi-department effort to certify the EHR software to meet the ONC Meaningful Use 2 criteria, while at the same time working with the 5 departments reporting to the EVP to get them aligned, structured and operating with common methodology that would enable the department to move to Agile/Scrum methodology. Also managed the integration of an acquired clearinghouse into the company, involving most every department in the company and working with all levels of management and employees in both organizations. Last 20 months were spent working with the RCM team as the Senior Agile PM/Agile Coach/Scrum Master. Used Agile/Scrum methodology to develop incremental units of software for the new RCM application. Responsible for the sprint and release planning, daily standups, backlog grooming and retrospectives, as well as coordinating the efforts of 3 teams in multiple locations. Also coordinated interactions with RCM Services group and other internal groups throughout the organization.

I worked as a project manager building electric substations with budgets up to $10,000,000, and managed 10+ projects at any given time. I was responsible for interfacing with owners, engineers, suppliers, packagers, on-site managers and our construction crews to get the projects planned, built and closed out. Change was a constant dealing with owner/engineer scope of project changes, material availability, weather, staffing and other factors that I had to work through to complete projects to meet the owner’s requirements. This required me to interact on a daily basis with many different people of varying backgrounds, skills and communication abilities. It also required me to utilize my computer skills, ability to read and interpret plans and specs, and my ability to make quick, thorough and effective decisions.

I was responsible for the daily functions of hiring, training, developing, disciplining and working with the employees on personal and professional development. During my time with both companies, I was highly involved with developing and implementing “team based work systems” and employee empowerment programs. I was involved in all aspects of human resource management and obtained a certification as a Senior Professional in HR Management.
