Executive Director position responsible for the oversight, planning, and strategy of the College of Arts & Sciences facilities, space, and capital projects portfolio.

Direct, supervise and coordinate the planning, execution, and inspection of new construction and building renovation capital projects at Duke University.

-Directed and led one of the largest design and construction management units in the agency and was responsible for a $350m capital portfolio for three client agencies; New York Public Library (87 libraries), Brooklyn Public Library (60 libraries), and Queen Public Library (62 libraries) Systems.-Delivered capital projects in the range of $500k to $35m with work scopes that ranged from building system upgrades to major capital improvements, additions and new construction. Numerous projects involved work within landmarked or landmark quality Carnegie Libraries as well as work coordinated with continuous occupancy during construction.-Directly responsible for a team of professional architects, engineers, and construction project managers whose responsibilities include project management and supervision of private consultants and contractors during all phases of scoping, design, bid, construction, and project closeout.

-Directed integrated multidisciplinary engineering consulting project teams in the public, commercial, high-rise and residential sectors from early concept stages through construction administration and through traditional design bid build as well as design assist and design build procurement methods.-Developed expertise in seismic design methods and technology in steel and concrete while exploring atypical building materials such as cardboard, bamboo and shipping containers as structural building elements.-Involved in teaching structural engineering technology at the university level.
