The book I wrote exists in two forms: A comprehensive book on the Biblical Perspective on caregiving, complete with devotional meditations from Scripture and experiences of four contributing authors. It gives the Christian caregiver (from the institutional professional, first responder all the way to the private family member caring for their loved one) advice, perspective and encouragement in their responsibilities (24 chapters, 262 pages); and The Counselor's Reference Edition for mental healthcare professionals on the go, who need a quick and easy read without a lot of technical jargon (6 chapters, 125 pages).The abridged version was the result of a request of a local youth counselor, whose staff was counseling young adolescent boys addressing challenging seasons in their personal lives and relationships. He asked me to supply his board members with trimmed copies they could read in one sitting, since they lived out very busy schedules. He ordered a copy for every one of his board members.
