Hello, I’m James Musgrave, an award-winning Program Manager with more than 25 years of experience in program development, problem solving, and leadership. I’ve held this role at the regional level responsible for multiple sites and in large organizations equal to fortune 500 businesses. I excel in critical thinking, team building, and facilitating cross-functional collaborations to establish realistic policy and objectives. My passion is in helping executives grow their business while protecting their employees and equipment; I look forward to connecting and learning how we can partner in developing a proactive safety culture. Biography:James is currently the Director of Military Affairs at K-12coders.com. This role drives James to network with military installations and supporting school districts for meeting common goals of ensuring military vets have a job, military dependent spouses have job opportunities, and dependent children have STEM opportunities. Prior to his current role, James has held program management positions at the regional (Europe), large organization (1,000+), and small organization (300-500) levels. Unit leaders have also trusted him with other key programs to manage in addition to his primary safety duties (e.g. security, records, etc.). His leadership, talents, and dedication has helped achieve corporate level team and organization awards of excellence. James grew up in a rural area of America's Heartland where he joined the U.S. Air Force immediately after high school. Throughout his 20+ year tenure, he has gained technical experience and leadership skills as a Civil Engineer Structural Craftsman and Career Safety Professional. Specifically, James has excelled for over 14 years as a strategist, planner and consultant in the study of risk assessment & human behavior through cultural audits and root cause analysis. He believes safety is a manager's program requiring leadership engagement at all levels. Three layers of leadership form the foundation of a pillared system (individual, supervisor and management levels). If any one level is weak, the foundation is unstable resulting in a less than effective safety culture.Education:BA in Management/LeadershipAAS in SafetyUndergrad Fire Science CertificateOSHA Courses (Construction and General Industry)
