-Downstream GMP drug substance plant engineer -System owner of Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration (UF/DF) and viral filtration (VF) skids and Single Use Mixing Vessels (SUMVs)-Day-to-day plant support and improvement projects

In addition to my past responsibilities as associate engineer, I now am responsible for leading and supporting equipment optimization projects, equipment troubleshooting, design and implementation of system modifications, and supporting senior engineers on complex projects.

I support the plant engineering team for the drug substance pilot plant at Amgen's Thousand Oaks site. As an Associate Pilot Plant Engineer, I am the system owner for portable tanks, fixed tanks, single use mixing vessels, and temperature control units. My responsibilities include maintaining and improving the process equipment and getting new equipment ready for use by manufacturing.

I designed, manufactured, and tested microfluidic devices with the ultimate goal of being able to map flow patterns inside droplets.

During the summer of the 2018 school year, I was able to work at Amgen compiling an executive summary of equipment in the developmental supply chain drug manufacturing plant.
