At Hoernis Auto Body I follow the repair of a vehicle from the estimate all the way through delivery. I start with writing the estimates for the customer. I then determine if the repair will be going through an insurance company or if the owner is going to be paying for the repair out of pocket. If it is going through an insurance company I follow insurance specification for our various direct repair programs. We have direct repair agreements with State Farm, Farmers, AAA, and Met-Life. After the writing an estimate, I schedule the customer and begin the parts procurement process. Once the vehicle arrives for repairs I “repair map” the vehicle and put it in process for repair planning. During repair planning I work with a disassembly technician to disassemble the vehicle and discover any hidden damage. If necessary I complete documentation and take photos for any supplemental items and turn them in for approval. I follow the repair process through the shop and inform the owner of changes as well as movement into different departments. Once the vehicle is reassembled and detailed, I inspect for quality then release the vehicle back to the owner.

I managed inventory levels on a daily basis. Created stock orders based off of those levels to utilize "just in time" inventory. I was in control of customer service as well as answering technical question on the automotive refinishing process.
