PhD in Data Intensive Science and High Energy Physics at Durham University. Throughout my degree I have developed my machine learning and data intensive science acumen. During my PhD program I have applied a range of mathematical and computational tools to solve novel problems in the real world through a series of industrial placements. Throughout these projects I have honed my ability to work individually and collaboratively with team members from a variety of academic and cultural backgrounds based globally. Upon completion of my degree, I am pursing a career applying cutting edge modern data analysis tools to new, interesting evolving data sets to solve the big challenges of today.During my PhD I have largely focused on analysing large and complex data sets produced from Monte Carlo simulations, agent based models and (real-world) multidimensional time series using Python and C++. In a physics context, I've worked on constraining the Yukawa coupling of the charm quark to the Higgs boson. Using my knowledge and experience in machine learning, data analysis and computational model building I have been privileged to take on a selection of real world challenges in industrial placements at Nissan, EDF and UN Global Pulse.
