My earliest memories and perception of the world was aviation. I remember my Father learning to fly in Florida when I was just two years old. He would take me up with him and I was fascinated with the cockpit controls. It’s not surprising then that growing up all I wanted to be was a pilot. I would eat, sleep and breath aviation. I attended air shows and plane spotted. I thought flying was such an adventure, I still do! As soon as I was old enough, I joined the Air Cadets in the UK and started flying at the weekends. I then got my private pilots licence in the USA and studied at Oxford Aviation in England. I was then fortunate enough to obtain a cadetship with a commercial airline based in London and my pilot career took off ✈️🧑‍✈️My pilot career:➡️ My first airline job was with Astraeus and I operated a global network on the B757. I was selected to be a Ground Instructor.➡️ I flew for DHL as a First Officer out of Bahrain and was the lead Ground Instructor and air display Safety Pilot. ➡️ I obtained a position with Emirates Airline, one of the world’s leading airlines, as a First Officer on the B777 and in 2019 I became Captain of a wide-body aircraft. ➡️ My previous voluntary work includes public speaking at schools as an educator for space science. ➡️ I love warbirds and have flown the T6 Texan, P51 Mustang and Supermarine Spitfire.➡️ When COVID-19 rocked the aviation industry, I pivoted and obtained employment with the UK Government as a Fraud Investigator.➡️ I also remained within the aviation industry and became a freelance simulator instructor (B737-800). I shared my passion for flying with customers at Virtual Aerospace.➡️ I have a total of over 8000 flying hours.➡️ I’ve operated flights across the globe in all types of weather and terrain including Polar, North Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Himalaya. ➡️ In 2023 I obtained an Airbus type rating and began flying with British Airways as a First Officer. In 2024 I was promoted to Captain.I love everything about being a pilot, every time I park an aeroplane I'm already thinking about when I can get back into the air. I look forward to seeing what my future as a pilot holds and can only hope it’s as rewarding as it has been so far. ✈️
