I am a world-class question asker. For over two years I trained full time as a socratic guide and have become expert in uncovering seemingly disjointed problems and asking the right questions to get to the heart of the matter. These skills make me an excellent coach, mentor, team builder, strategist, brain-storm partner. I have spent nearly 10,000 hours focused on teen coaching and team building. I offer consulting services for high schoolers that chose to homeschool so they can meaningfully pursue passions and interests that allow them to be the hero in their own journey. I also grew up playing ice hockey and lacrosse and offer elite coaching sessions for lacrosse.

I’m not a teacher, nor was I trained to be one, nor did I plan on becoming one. And I’m still not one. Instead I see myself as working at a highly innovative company where the product just so happens to be education. And that is so inspiring to me. At Slope School we believe that every child can be a world changer if they embark on their own Hero’s Journey and that’s why our school is totally learner driven, meaning there are no traditional teachers. No lectures, no rows of desks, no regular classroom. Instead we have self-paced online delivery and real-world hands-on projects in mixed-age learning communities where responsibility and accountability aren’t optional because the learners are running the show, not the adults. Think a tech work place for kids learning to read, write, do math and science, manage finances, start a business, or become a chef, or whatever they aspire to. We believe these young people deserve the best education possible — that goes beyond memorization and into character development. And In light of the state of the world, I personally believe that is what the world desperately needs. And that’s why I’m so pumped to be here. Show less -
