I like designing, developing, and validating software, and collaborating with others who like the same. Most of my work has been in the Java world and within large companies, and I am fortunate to have had a broad range of design and development experiences. I also like working with people, finding ways to effectively collaborate and team. Mentoring opportunities, when they arise, are events I regard as a priviledges to be undertaken with thoughtfulness.Good communication has been a large factor in my career. Far beyond working with clients on requirements gathering and sign offs, I have extensive experience with technical presentations, technical education, and technical writing. I find that many of the skills for organizing and optimizing code are applicable to organizing and optimizing written words.I have always been curious, wanting to understand how something works, how something evolved to its current state, and what states it might take in the future. I medicate with learning and thinking.
