As the leader of the communications team at UBCEA, I am responsible for driving the marketing and branding strategies for key events, including the Sunset Series and Valorant Showmatch. My role involves:->Marketing Strategy & Event Branding: Developed comprehensive marketing plans and event branding for UBCEA’s flagship events, including creating logos and templates to ensure a cohesive visual identity across all materials.->Graphic Design: Designed a variety of graphics for events, entertainment, and educational content on platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Discord using tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.->Social Media Management: Led and optimized UBCEA's social media presence across multiple platforms to increase reach and engagement.->Community Engagement: Spearheaded community engagement initiatives, strengthening brand awareness and fostering meaningful connections within our community.Through this role, I’ve honed my skills in strategic planning, content creation, and digital marketing, all while contributing to the growth and visibility of UBCEA.

As a member of the communications team, I played a key role in organizing and executing a targeted marketing strategy. My responsibilities included creating digital marketing content, planning social media calendars, and enhancing team collaboration and workflow.I contributed to the successful execution of key events, including the UBCEA Icebreaker and Sunset Series, and had the opportunity to design the 2024 UBCEA Expo logo—an exciting project that showcased my design and branding skills.

In 2023/24, I had the privilege of supporting the career development of over 100 students as part of the Intro to Marketing (COMM296) course. With a focus on growth and skill-building, I provided guidance and mentorship throughout the curriculum, reviewing and evaluating student projects and assignments. My goal was to offer detailed, constructive feedback that helped students refine their work and develop a deeper understanding of marketing concepts.

As part of the Optima Living Marketing Team, I support various initiatives that drive engagement and enhance the brand presence across 39 senior living communities. My key contributions include:->2025 Optima Living Calendar: Spearheaded the creation of the annual calendar by coordinating with cross-functional teams and external agencies to manage design and distribution across all communities.->Social Media & Website Analysis: Conducted in-depth research across platforms like Instagram and Facebook, as well as community listing websites, to identify trends in impressions, conversions, and reviews, optimizing our digital marketing efforts.->Content Creation: Developed engaging marketing collateral for our senior communities and corporate channels using tools like Canva.->Market Research: Analyzed industry trends and competitor strategies to deliver insights that refine our marketing approach and increase campaign effectiveness.Through these projects, I continued to develop skills in digital marketing, project management, and branding while supporting the growth of Optima Living’s senior communities.

As an active member of the Brands For Better Foundation's Marketing Team, I contributed to a variety of initiatives focused on creating positive change through brand partnerships. Some of my key responsibilities included:->Planning and Scheduling Promotional Content: Using tools like Hootsuite and Trello, I coordinated with team members to ensure the timely and effective release of digital marketing content.-> Community Engagement: I played an active role in fostering community connections by organizing monthly Community Meet-Ups, facilitating brand collaborations, and being a part of social initiatives, such as the Plenty of Plates event hosted by the Better Life Foundation.Through these experiences, I gained valuable skills in digital marketing, event coordination, and community outreach, all while contributing to meaningful social impact.

In my leadership role at Sport Chek, I was responsible for enhancing team performance, leading team huddles, and providing regular performance coaching to ensure continuous growth. I focused on creating a positive, motivating work environment that empowered my team to succeed. Additionally, I had the opportunity to engage directly with customers through sales and service, delivering personalized support and leading promotional initiatives to meet customer needs. I also gained valuable experience in operations and logistics, further expanding my skill set in managing business processes and ensuring smooth store operations.

As a Sales Associate, I collaborated closely with my team to deliver personalized service and tailored recommendations to customers. In addition to focusing on customer satisfaction, I actively contributed to enhancing team efficiency by identifying new strategies for improvement.
