About Joseph Macharia
As a little kid I have always been fascinated about computers. How can such a tool be so productive yet so enjoyable at the same time. I was introduced to computers as a gaming tool, when Need For Speed Underground was a fad. I asked myself how can such boxes connected to the grid be so magical? There and then my passion in computing was born. Throughout high school I latched onto any ideas for projects I could get, moving from hello world all the way to a simple snake game, tearing through any book I could find on anything remotely related to software development. I was insatiable.This passion carried me through my education at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Here more resources were at my disposal than I ever could have imagined as a kid. I studied new languages, data structures and algorithms, compilers, higher mathematics, all with pretty much same fascination that drove me as a kid. And it was here that I learned truly how much there was yet to learn.So now, in industry, this passion remains with me. There's certainly yet more to learn, more problems to solve, and more to build. And for this I am more grateful.Specialties: Languages : nodeJs, JavaScript, PhPAcademic : System Programming, Algorithms, Distributed Systems.
