The Public Information Officer is the information and communications coordinator and spokesman for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. My primary goal is to accurately disseminate information relating to the operation and activities of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office to the media and the public in a manner that will inform without jeopardizing the integrity of the office or its employees in any way. Under the structure of the HCSO, the Public Information Officer is also directly responsible for the public and government relations of the Sheriff's Office which includes working with members of the media, elected officials, creating partnerships and relationships with various community partners and organizations, expanding the sheriff's office's mission via social media, internet, and other communication venues.The Public Information Officer (PIO) is also directly responsible for agency wide promotion and marketing of the HCSO as well as its outreach goals to the community and general public.

As elected President of the UTC College Republicans, I represented the political interests of more than 4,000 student Republicans on campus and worked with the local, state, and national Republican Party to increase voter turnout and participation.

Appointed by the elected Governors' of the 2001, 2002, and 2003 sitting sessions of the Tennessee Inter-Collegiate State Legislature (TISL) to serve on their advisory team to serve and advise all elected student officials for all colleges and universities in Tennessee associated with the program.
