Profile bio

About Jay Michaud, Phd

I care about people who have experienced harm. In many facets of my life, I support people around me who want and need someone alongside them. Sometimes those people are students in a university who are trying to navigate the system, sometimes they're folks in my community who have experienced gender-based violence, sometimes they're academics who have been harmed by policy, and sometimes they're people who use drugs. I'm about meeting folks where they're at and creating comfy spaces to talk about the traumas of life. I do that work in different ways, like one-on-one support, group facilitation, program development, and research.
