About Janak Parmar
Janak Parmar is a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Birmingham and a PhD Candidate in Territory, Innovation and Sustainability at Unicusano. He holds a Master's in Highway Transportation Engineering and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the MS University of Baroda.His research interests revolve around transportation demand and behaviour modeling, using econometric and machine learning techniques. He is currently conducting a research on the shared e-mobility systems. His primary aim is to understand travellers' choice decisions under uncertainty (e.g., travel time, vehicle-availability) considering both quantitative and qualitative data. He aims to integrate machine learning with discrete choice models to enhance the predictive ability of the traditional behaviour models.
