Janak Parmar is a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Birmingham and a PhD Candidate in Territory, Innovation and Sustainability at Unicusano. He holds a Master's in Highway Transportation Engineering and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the MS University of Baroda.His research interests revolve around transportation demand and behaviour modeling, using econometric and machine learning techniques. He is currently conducting a research on the shared e-mobility systems. His primary aim is to understand travellers' choice decisions under uncertainty (e.g., travel time, vehicle-availability) considering both quantitative and qualitative data. He aims to integrate machine learning with discrete choice models to enhance the predictive ability of the traditional behaviour models. He is passionate about applying his skills and knowledge to address the challenges and opportunities of sustainable mobility.
