I am also a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Center for Legal and Political Thought at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Łódź.The title of my PhD is "The Spirit of Constitutional Law in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, 1573-1791: Continuty, Change, and Conservative Jurisprudence." It is a Montesquieuan-inspired, comparative approach to understanding the internal development of the constiutional system in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Its theory is a mix of comparative constitutional law, legal philosophy and theory, history of political and legal thought, and Cambridge school-inspired historiography. Its method is a mix of original-law originalism, textualism, and constitutional hermeneutics.
