I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor working as a consultant with a program developed by the DOD(MFLC) to address the many challenges that arise for service members and their families as they cycle through deployments. In the past I have worked with the State of Georgia coordinating a program which has the goal of diverting individuals with post traumatic stress disorder(PTSD) and other mental illnesses away from incarceration and in to appropriate treatment. This initiative works with non violent individuals, preferably Veterans,who have experienced trauma and as a result have made poor choices that have led them to the legal system.I also worked with an Assertive Community Treatment(ACT) team out of Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah, Ga. which has the goal of helping individuals with chronic mental illness, including dual diagnosis, manage their illness and break patterns of repeat hospitalizations. Strong background in assessments especially in community mental health settings specializing in chronic mental health issues. Experience in day treatment and group therapy with adult psychosis. Experience in individual therapy with adults and adolescents.
