Real Estate- Drafting, negotiating, reviewing and revising commercial lease agreements, subleases, license agreements, estoppel certificates, subordination/non-disturbance agreements, letter agreements, early occupancy agreements and letters of understanding.- Reviewing ground leases, master leases, title commitments, condominium regime documents and Phase I Environmental Assessment Reports to advise clients of risks and responsibilities in proposed real estate transactions.- Liaising with opposing counsel, client project managers, client real estate directors and in-house counsel on real estate transactions to achieve client-favored results.- Preparing demand letters related to breach of contract obligations in order to protect client rights and settling resulting real estate disputes.Oil and Gas/Construction- Advise clients on allowable post-production deductions from royalties, phased-development of offshore resource plays in the Gulf of Mexico and asserting and enforcing mechanic’s liens in Louisiana.- Reviewing and revising IADC drilling contracts and AAPL Form Joint Operating Agreements.- Negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements.- Advising a major institutional lender on Texas-specific environmental laws and regulations affecting construction of a natural gas pipeline and export terminal.

Providing guidance to third-year law students and the Journal's executive board as to Journal topics and areas of study.

Reviewing title instruments and formulating legal conclusions as to mineral ownership.Preparing drilling title opinions.Preparing division order title opinions.

Examining and interpreting deed, probate, civil court and tax records to ascertain mineral title ownership to lands in North Texas.Drafting and reviewing title curative documents, such as affidavits of heirship and affidavits of identity.

Reviewing service contracts, inter-company agreements, and rental agreements.Drafting letter agreements for several asset divestitures.Assisting in determining insurance liabilities under offshore drilling contracts.
