As a product manager, I create self-motivated cross-functional teams that grow the business by building creative solutions to customer needs. I have built and led product teams of up to 15 to deliver successful hardware, software and hardware/software hybrid products from concept to market. By building teams with clear focus and autonomy, my teams have been able to remain data driven and decisive through ambiguity, delivering >$220M in top line revenue to date.At GE Appliances, my primary focus has been leading our transformation into a tech-centric user-focused innovation company by transforming employees into entrepreneurs. As the founding Head of Product for GE Appliances' FirstBuild hardware incubator I led a team of engineers, marketers and designers revolutionized the white-goods product development lifecycle by building an end-to-end rapid market validation platform. I introduced the mantra of "concept to market in 90 days," reducing the cost and time to launch for hardware products by more than 10x. In our first 18 months, the FirstBuild product team launched 20 new products, 6 of which remain in the market today.Throughout my career as a product leader, I have focused my energy on delivering emerging products that have delivered over $80M annually in incremental revenues by expanding the boundaries of GE Appliances' core major appliance business. My proudest product acheivements: The hyper-popular Opal Ice Maker launched GE's small appliances business; the Giddy social platform for product designers opened the company up to democratized product development; the Chibo live/video-on-demand platform foreshadows a future of digital engagement on a mass scale.
