Paid Volunteer for the USU Extension office Youth Drugs and Violence Prevention Program.

• Responsible for the training, accountability, and operational readiness of military personnel; and updates, maintains, and advises on program operational procedures and workflows• Designed and implemented senior leader training for National Guard Bureau classes used in all 54 states and territories, instructed classes across the country to standardize implementation of administrative regulation• Administers a sitewide HRIS/operational tracking database, ensures 100% regulatory compliance of the program for yearly national level inspections• Screens incoming military personnel for employment eligibility, prepares memos and staffs strategic products and reports• Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of military training, events, schools, and publishes military ordersmilitary orders• Screens incoming military personnel for employment eligibility, prepares memos and staffs strategic products and reports

• Liaison with higher and lower echelon’s leadership in the execution of strategic and tactical missions• Advised executive level leadership on current situations and capabilities enabling them to effectively plan future military missions• Supervised fire mission processing, planning, execution, movement control, field artillery support, scheduling, and entry of leadership guidance, maintained current situational data reports• Ensured quick actioning and troubleshooting of fire mission processing, directed troubleshooting of tactical hardware, software, database, and communication equipment to ensure continuity of operations and field capabilities• Operated and performed maintenance on tactical data systems equipment, section vehicles, and generators, executed 1,500+ fire missions during exercises and in live combat resulting in a 100% safety record

• Arranged national and international travel for executive level officers as well as senior and lower enlisted military members• Quality controlled all travel documents, monitored a $400,000 travel budget, ensuring it was executed responsibly and legally; trained personnel on proper use of travel voucher software (Defense Travel System)• Audited government travel card use for legal compliance and liaison with lower tiers for critical travel needs

• Advised the senior executive team on HR strategy, policy and legal compliance for military and State of Utah Human Resources policies, ensured civilian and military personnel actions were executed equitably and according to established regulations• Entered and retrieved personnel information using military and proprietary HRIS, prepared memos and staffed strategic products and reports, managed paid and unpaid time off, prepared and submitted payroll for 50+ civilian employees• Distributed and balanced the workload among subordinates in accordance with established workflow and priorities, provided on-the-job training to enhance procedures and align practices with other departments

• Oversaw and managed the drug testing program responsible for screening over 5000 Soldiers, revised workflows and processes bringing the program into compliance with state and federal regulations• Managed and trained 150+ Unit Prevention Leaders (local drug testing managers) resulting in the increased detection of illicit drug use• Advised executive level officers on state and national level drug testing regulations and policies and the implementation of strategies to maintain a drug-free workplace• Performed quality-control measures on the collection and submissions of all samples to the drug testing laboratory leading to a significant reduction in the discrepancy rate of the Utah National Guard
