I have been placed or taken the reigns of leadership roles in almost every job I've ever held. Being a solid leader is something that has always come easy to me. I love problem-solving and working with people, and people have always gravitated toward me when they are seeking answers. I am never too proud to say I don't know the answer and then set out to find what it is. Leading by example has always been my style. It's hard to get people to follow you or to be okay with following you if you aren't actively leading them somewhere. And while leadership seems to be ingrained in my personality, management was something that took some work. I had no better environment to learn how to effectively manage - people, time, process, results, etc. - than the four years I spent as a teacher. After 15 years in manufacturing and skilled trades I still had much to learn. Now I believe that my skill set is stronger than ever and I can't wait to get to work with a great team!
