Full stack development on Offset.com, a service-backed Node.js platform.

Prototyped and launched redesign of major web publishing platform using jQuery, Backbone, HTML5, and SASS/CSS3 to support 680m pageviews and 80m uniques, monthly. Rapid prototyping in node.js. Evaluated and implemented Zurb Foundation, Closure Templates, and other front-end technologies for Kinja platform. Developed and maintained public-facing content editor using TinyMCE, and Redactor. Advocated for and implemented responsive and mobile-first strategies based on traffic analysis. Light work in Scala Play! 2.0 app to support client-side development.

Lead front-end feature development. Worked closely with designers, product, backend developers, and contractors to build the front-end of a social web app. Identified and implemented solutions for HTML templating with Twig, CSS3 preprocessing with Compass and SASS, a lazy-loaded modular javascript architecture, OAuth (G+, Twitter, LinkedIn), and a JSON-driven form generation engine. Expertise with AJAX, XHTML, XML, Velocity, CSS, JS, JSON, jQuery, DOM Scripting, semantic flash, and flash/js interactivity. Significant experience with mobile and touch-based web development, versioning systems (cvs/svn), code release workflow, UI design and development, rapid development, and light server administration. Served as a mentor for a bi-weekly Javascript/jQuery class.
