My job as Managing Partner of Atomic's Grand Rapids office is to engage, encourage, focus, and channel the energies and ambitions of the people I work with everyday. I work with my peers to conduct sales, grow relationships, and develop new business. I aim to fit the right clients to the right teams so we build the software products that deliver value quickly and continuously.

As President, I am accountable and responsible for the continued success of the firm. To that end, I work with the CEO and my leadership team to create a compelling vision and mission that provides the energy behind our strategy to achieve desired goals. I provide leadership direction and management to the Sales, Operations, and Administration areas of the firm

As Chief Operations Officer, I was responsible for all operational aspects of the firm. I worked closely with the leadership team to set strategic direction for the firm and provide a purpose for our team. I provided leadership and management to ensure the firm had proper controls, process, reporting, and the right people to grow and ensure a solid financial future. I removed roadblocks for our team to allow them to master their craft and give them the autonomy to make the best decisions for their work and our clients.

As Senior Director of Development, I was responsible for coordinating and managing the development activity across a team of highly skilled software development engineers. I worked with the executive team and peers to implement the strategic direction for the firm. I provided leadership and management for all software development, architecture and project management activities.

As the first project manager at Springthrough, my role was focused on managing a variety of client projects across the firm. I developed and executed project plans and participated in the full life cycle of software development. I assisted in sales efforts to win client engagements, ensured delivery on all milestones, assisted in architecture and design of solutions, and worked to deliver an excellent client experience.

As a Custom Solutions Manager, I created custom digital healthcare products for three of DestinationRx’s largest clients. I was the account manager and worked with each client to architect and implement a product solution. This was done with a team of software developers and project managers distributed across the US within a tight timeline to meet Medicare enrollment requirements.

As Product Manager, I defined and created product solutions for online Medicare enrollment. I was responsible for all digital products used by Call Centers and Insurance Agencies to capture Medicare enrollments anywhere in the United States. I worked with the Sales and the Technical Development teams to define product roadmaps and implementation plans to meet our corporate goals. I worked with Marketing to develop messaging around the product that matched our branding. I was also instrumental in product demonstrations, setting product pricing, and developing sales material for the organization.

In this role, I championed, coordinated and implemented all corporate strategies and initiatives to continuously enhance customer experience. I created Personas representing all the demographics that represented Priority Health's membership. I assisted in market research and developing corporate tactics with other cross-departmental teams to applying learnings to meet the Brand promise. I acted as the voice of the customer focused on bringing the Brand promise to life. This included new strategies and tactics that were focused on making "life a little bit easier" for all of Priority Health's members.

Responsible for design and development of web related technologies and electronic data interchanges with external parties. I lead two teams of software engineers, cultivated the growth of individuals and technologies, and implemented a number of new innovations within my organization. I acted as strategist, counselor, and project manager in this role. I initiated the development and designs of the first versions of Priority Health's web sites and created the current team structures and roles that exist today. I gained experience with managing technical resources, Perl, CGI, Web, Linux, Oracle, and open source environments. I utilized the IDEO innovation process to produce member facing Transparency products. I've applied Software Development Life Cycle models along with Product Development models to create new tools, services, and technologies. This was during a time of tremendous growth for this company.

Technical lead in design and implementation of customizations for Khameleon Software. Implemented a version control system using PVCS. Assisted in the implementation of Khameleon software for Herman Miller dealerships nation wide. Technical liaison working with all external vendors and corporate technical teams.

Designed and developed data systems and user interfaces to simplify and automate various operational processes within Priority Health. Technical Project Manager responsible for impact assessment, remediation, test planning, and techical solutions for Y2K issues. Developed member information systems utilizing Perl, HTML, and CGI code against an Oracle database.

Focused on implementation and management of special technology projects including attorney billing system, relationship management system, employee tracking system, automated document assembly system, and initial connection to internet for firm.
