My fiance and I spent a year and a half travelling North America in our converted van. We learned that growing an instagram account is tough, improved our photography skills and learned a tonne about our home continent.

Built Wish’s merchant platform and team from the ground up, growing the merchant base to 100k+ active merchants and helped Wish scale to over 1B in GMV. As Wish grew, so did my team, and I hired and mentored 45+ engineers, designers, testers and product managers as well as many rockstar interns.Project highlights: - Developed Wish’s merchant portal and APIs- used by Wish’s merchants and partners to manage their stores - Developed, refined, monitored and reported on high level performance metrics related to Wish’s ecommerce activity, such as refunds, shipment times, shipment success, merchant growth, product catalogue growth, etc. - Managed development of the merchant disbursement program - paid $800M+ to merchants around the world. - Managed the launched ProductBoost - an advertising product for Wish merchants and lucrative new revenue stream for the company. - Re-wrote and relaunched Wishpost - a logistics portal used by merchants to buy and track usage of Wish logistics programs in China.

Founding team member at Wish and full stack engineer. Early projects included the first versions of Wish's website, the i18n system including managment of the translation pipeline as well as the first versions of our Merchant Dashboard. As well as engineering I managed the UWaterloo intern program at Wish.

I worked on launching the new Profile redesign. As a product engineer I was involved with designing, creating and implementing features that are now currently live. My major projects included implementing the photos and videos page of the profile. I was also responsible for the Sports section and People you admire section. I worked on much of the editing pages and implemented the blank states for new users.

Working on an a tool to create, track and publish surveys to Facebook employees and users. I worked on the project from the ground up. Implementing the entire web application, from the ground up. I worked in PHP and designed the UI elements using XHP and Javascript. I launched the project during my internship. This tool was recently used to survey over 250,000 Facebook users.

Extreme Blue Technical Intern. Working on making an SQL analysis and cross compilation tool to help ease customers switching from a competitor's database solution. Was involved in design and build a SQL parser by inferring the grammar via example scripts. Built and tested the code generation.

Worked as an engineer on Facebreaker. Working on the graphics team I worked on webcam API for the Xbox and PS3. I developed the custom character edit screens, as well as data formats for character thumbnails.

Worked on creating a security feature for the Bank of New Zealand. I also worked on an internal tool for parsing and updating XML configuration files which could become out of sync.
