I am a passionate computer engineering student from CSULB. I love learning and teaching Embedded Systems. My coolest projects are a micromouse, smarthouse, etch-a-sketch, planet simulator and flappy bird emulation on FPGA. Outside of school, I enjoy gaming, hiking, photography, modeling and storytelling.My first job was at Stewart & Grub, and I started as a dishwasher. It was a fun job because I got to work in a quick-paced environment, learn about kitchen management and food prep. After a couple of years, I worked my way into an assistant management role. It was a great accomplishment that came with many responsibilities. I learned to manage the register, more customer service, meet quotas and train new hires. It was a great experience.After Stewart & Grub, my cousin referred me to work at a plant for more pay. I decided to take the job as a janitor because of my full-time school schedule. During my interview, I was offered an internship by the GM of the company. He saw my projects and thought is would be a great idea for me to join the program temporarily for hands-on experience in my field, so I took the role of a Plant Engineering Intern at DarPro Solutions onsite. This job taught me how to manage company budgets for projects, create tasks for employees, work with control systems to operate industrial machinery, and reconfigure settings for industrial machinery to run at quicker complexity. It was a valuable internship and taught me how everything I learned in my embedded systems classes, applied to a plant.After my internship, I decided to take a focus on completing school. I work part-time as a sales associate for Sunglass Hut, and have been developing my sales skills to become a future sales engineer. This job teaches me a lot about products, marketing and the science behind designer sunglasses. It applies to my field, because it has helped me learn to explain my technology a lot easier and interested me in creating my own product someday. Finally, I am focusing on completing more projects related to Embedded Systems and FPGA to add to my resume and LinkedIn. In the meantime, I have lots of personal projects that demonstrate knowledge in SWE, HWE, System Design and prototyping.
