Joined the automated trading systems design & management team to create the 3rd-generation electronic trading system for exchange-traded derivatives - that became known as LIFFE CONNECT®.• Built and co-led the 20 C++/Unix developer “trading host” team. Created LIFFE CONNECT® - the exchange-traded derivatives system, recognised as the leading such platform in the world. Success of the system, used by world-wide investment banks and traders, inspired the survival and turn-around of the organisation. The new platform provided a five-fold growth in revenue.• Designed & coded (C++) the multi-threaded exchange trading engine LIFFE CONNECT®, initially built for equity options but through its flexible design and extensible architecture, scaled-up to handle the full diversity of exchange-traded derivatives.
