• Served as a Research and Development Engineer, specializing in evaluating and testing display, lighting, optical, and material technologies for the first flat panel displays for aircraft instruments, adhering to MIL and aerospace standards.• At age 27, I became an engineering manager at a company renowned in the black works community for pioneering spy cameras. Three of these cameras are now housed in the Smithsonian. I redesigned product lines to consolidate twenty models into one configurable unit, reducing manufacturing costs and inventory.• Appointed as a Program Business Manager at Rockwell International for the optical components business unit start-up division, tasked with commercializing display technologies from MIT, Kent State, and Wright Patterson Air Force Base. I collaborated with physicists and scientists from major Korean, Taiwanese, and Japanese display manufacturers to develop the first flat panel displays. Additionally, I improved the manufacturing process, reducing production time from 40 hours to 2 hours within one month.• Founded and successfully sold an engineering/maintenance business specializing in high-speed production for the West Coast's industrial, chemical, and aerospace manufacturing industries. During this time, I transitioned to the industrial sector and taught myself programming and automation.• Designed, developed, programmed, and maintained OEM software for offshore exploration drilling oil rigs, specifically for the world’s largest robotic systems used in the drill pipe tripping process. I was the first to define, program, and commission a robotic system capable of conveying 40-ton, 120-ft tall, 30-inch diameter riser pipes for a rig drilled to 10,000 ft of water. This was also the first industrial robotic system to utilize Java and Linux.
