The economic discourse is dominated by the idea of unrestrained global economic growth and competition. We explore alternative economic models and implement them in the way we do business. We also offer these new views to other entrepreneurs, policy makers and politicians. However, we have been evolving over the years into a movement that explores much further than sole economics. It became clear to us that one domain can’t be studied separately from another. Everything is connected and we are all interdependent with our environments, other beings, ancestors and generations to come. We have chosen an holistic approach, starting with exploring our personal conditioning, our culture and society at large. Form there, different ways of living together can emerge. Ways that are daring and exciting. Ways that are in harmony with nature and others. Ways that bring us to the state of being unseparated from all that exist. With Ondernemers van Nu we have created the ‘Now what?! Series, based on the question: ‘we made a mess of our economies and ecosystems, so now what?!’ We organized live events with Jan Terlouw, Kate Raworth, Nora Bateson, Charles Eisenstein, Anand Giridharadas and Helena Norberg-Hodge. All of them looking at today’s wicked issues from different angles, but coming from the same inquisitive and positively provocative mindset. Ondernemers van Nu considers systemic thinking and gaining insight in ecological complexity part of their quest for a healthy planet and a thriving society. Show less
